My review of Road to Jalalabad

This is a well done map. This map imo is will hold the most intense fire fights of this game. Almost all rooves are accessable, making walking down a street an extremly hard task. During the begining of the round there is an intense fire fight. The USMC all advancing to the outpost. The MEC are able to hold the line with snipers and medics. The USMC must use special tactics and decoys in order to advance in a short time. The inner city is almost scary to fight in. Enemies could be hidden all around you. The assault class will excel in the inner city. This map may be small but the infantry fire fights are nuts. So far the best tactics I have seen are roof hopping, and flanking to the east.
My ratings:
Infantry combat: 10/10
Vehicle combat: 3/10
Diversity: 4/10
Overall: 7/10 - Good Map, infantry heaven.

I believe it is just transports and tanks.

tanks and buggies, thats about it. Ya i like the map infantry wise also. I didnt notice the roof access stuff so cool nice find. what tactics i use are when the map starts everyone goes to the first base and trys to steal it, me on the other hand gets a DPV and drives to the back of the map to get the MEC's tank base. When i played there werent usually people in back there to kill me so i just took it, then you have a pinch advantage on the enemy

I agree, but the map is eats FPS like no other.
I can barely play on a full 16p server. It needs some optimizing.

Karkand is just different. Jalalabad is more like a city. I still like Karkand, but Jalalabad is just 100 time more focused on infantry battles, not mindless battles lol.

Yeah, my computer sucks.
But Road To Jalalabad is by far the worst FPS eater in BF2.

Yes, finally someone understands. Karkand is not a city map like the others, its a stats fest in the small 100x100m area that everyone loves. I garentee if they took that part out, no one would play Karkand.

As I said in other posts, I still want to play the servers I like so I pulled the Jalalalalalabad map and run it on 1.3 co-op with my friends.
That way we can learn the map and still play our fave servers!!!

that didn't work for me...I called the "battlefield 2 beta" and it said that the folder was modified...WTF?

the map i good over all but the quality of it is just hideous cqc is what your gonna see a lot unless your a sniper. there are some tanks and transport vehicles thats it but i think it needs a transport helo on both sides or at least the american team
