good luck and be careful,,,, it puts a strain on your body quitting cold turkey, but it is the way to go. and watch out , you will gain weight. and that puts a strain on your already weakened heart.... lots of peeps have heart attacks. and you definately dont want one of those
no, not stale, tobacco is cured. and yes it will go stale if left out for long periods of time.=OBS= EstebanRey wrote:
Stale cigarettes? What kind of wierd manufacturing process do you have over there? Tobacco is essentially the stale leaves of a tobacco plant. I don't understand how they can "go off"kr@cker wrote:
fat free hard candies ( i preferred jolly ranchers as opposed to overpowering sickening sweet mints) will help with the physical aspects of the habit.......
when i was working in a shop we would all buy a "shop pack" every once in a while, if someone ran out they could grab one til they got to the store at lunch, I had quit buying packs for 3 days and needed to hit the gas station on the way home, but since i was fiending hard I knew I would end up buying another, then I saw the shop pack and popped a quick smoke to hold me over so I could resist the temptation at the store, turns out the "shop pack" had been opened 2 weeks prior and was stale, in addition to being cheap ass ghetto smokes in the first place, 3 puffs in I was green and sick to my stomach, haven't touched a smoke since (8 years i think)
Fine job on quiting, I smoked 2 packs of marlboro reds a day from 14 to 21 , I started to cough up blood.
I still didnt want to quit but with the last of a friends patchs & a desire to live I went cold turkey & have been off of them for 12 years.
I suggest weed smoking as a way of easing the transition, & thc kills the cells off before they become cancerous, another plus for former smokers.

the patch does work. only if u are willing to quit and already have for at least 72 hours. when i quit for 6 months or so. the patch really made the transtion thoughtless after the first 2 weeks.
but i started up again....cigz are the devil

Try to quit Chewing Tobacco.. (copenhagen long cut)
at work - Put in a pinch
out fishing - put in a pinch
play bf2 - put in 3 or 12 pinches depending on how well i'm doing
work on truck - put in a pinch
wife nags at me - put in half of the can
its more or less a habit, i quit chewing for 6 months.. everytime i did something in the above mentioned list, i'd have a craving to insert wormdirt into my lower lip. I tried that fake stuff but it made me have gas like eating 3 meals of Taco Bell a day.
