î know that in real time a mine takes about 10 seconds to arm and a claymore something like 15 and it is to not blow your self up,so at bf2 it takes less and running from someone and dropping a claymore is gay anyway
Actually, I think the time to "arm" an AT mine IRL is a lot higher than that... OK, I know technology has progressed the last couple of years... But when I was young (*sigh*... Sounding like the old fart that I am), you actually had to DIG A HOLE to put the mine in, then arm it and bury it again (to avoid the mine being seen). On average, it'd be rare to be able to lay out more than a couple of mines in an HOUR (they're also damned heavy, so just moving them from the box to where you want to bury them is a task in it self). And on the downside, the enemy will just roll in a mine sweeper, or fore one of those new smart missles that blows up all mines in a 25 meter corridor, making all your hard work go to waste....
As for a claymore. The actual claymore is easy, just plant it in the gound/tree/sand/whereever and pull the safety. However, the trigger is tripwire, so THAT takes some time to do, as you have to tie up the wire end somewhere, pull it tight, then connect it to the trigger, making ABSOLUTELY sure that you didn't connect the wire to something that will move in a light breeze... All labours of love, ofcourse (!)
