I was running around Mashtuur, when I stumbled across a dead MEC soldier. "Poor Guy" I thought. I looked down at his bag... and inside I saw an AK-101. Well, I was in need of a bit of medical attention... and an AK-101 was preferable over my L96 in the situation. I looked left, then right, then left again to make sure no one was watching, and I quickly picked up the gun and the medkits... as well as all of the man's bloodstained clothes. Ew.
I slid in a new magazine after patching up my wounds and stuffing the bulletholes with cotton balls, and turned a corner to come face to face with a USMC soldier. He started shredding away with his M4, and I pulled and held my trigger the same. Except, the bullets stopped coming out. I thought, shit, I can't be out of ammo, my mouse is fucked up, press again! And so I did, and killed the man before he injured me. I walked around into the tower for a bit of privacy... and well, noticed I had BF2's first AK-101 in 3-round burst.
I looked down at the fire indicator, and sure enough, 3 rounds.
And then I took a few shots. (1.13 megs 800x600 XviD)
edit: sorry fellas rapidshare this time, i just got a free premium account and i want to earn some points and try this out. okay yeah this is obviously putting it in decline, not that great. here is a direct link
Amazed, I played with the fire selector, and ended up losing my 3 round burst.
Instead, I had a broken switch that kept on springing back to semi-auto, no matter how many times I flicked it to full auto. And then I wasted the rest of my ammo while I half-switched it to full-auto.
I ran out to find some more cartridges of ammunition to experiment with, and got sniped clean thruogh the skull. Congratulations to Soder007 for that magnificent shot. Even I can't hit a running and jumping man in the head. No really, great shot.
How this bug arose, I don't know. Was it simply a G36E/M16 with an AK-101 recognition code, making it appear and sound like an AK-101? Or was it an error with the fire selection on a normal '101? If only I had more time to explore and experiment. Oh well.
