BF2S Forums Accuracy.

Accuracy is not important,  its a game not the army.

BF2 ammo is free and plentiful.

I think my accuracy stat is just about the last thing I ever think about while playing BF2. I'm way to busy trying to win the round to even notice.

My accuracy is very out. When i used to wait around for planes i would discharge all my magazines for my assault rifle, throw all my grenades, use up all my pistol ammo then run around stabbing aimlessly with my knife. Its also why i have an average KPM for assault rifle.

im the kind of person that if they are in the middle of nowhere i unload all my clips of everything, through all my grenades, and then when i get some were i just run at people with my knife and then when i die i get given all my stuff back, but if im support i can sometimes empty about 5000 rounds before i get enywhere on kubra dam.

Stats, who need it?
Its hard to compare two players against each other if you using the stats,
if they have the same play style then it’s possible, otherwise it’s just a waste of time.
If you compare it in the game, on the field then it’s more accurate.

A guy with a low KD ratio can be the first one to get the enemy flag white = first to die all the time.
The other guy with high KD can be the players that lay suppressive fire to cover the charging ones.
Both styles are needed.

Too be honest, accuracy in the stats doesn’t have to mean that you take down enemies with less shots.

It can also mean that you are aiming for the body not the head.
Body is much easier to hit = less bullets that miss the target.
And it require more bullets to kill= more shots that hit an enemy = better accuracy.
Or that you aim for large and hard targets, enemy cars etc and empty clip after clip in them from 2 meters away.



Or you might be the soldier from hell, with so much coolness-under-fire that you create permafrost wherever you put your foot.

In general, I don't worry about accuracy othe than I die less when I shoot better... .

I have started using the sniper kit a little more lately (I used it when I first started BF2 and sucked...) and paying attention to the sniper rifle accuracy...just for grins

Although my accuracy would probably suck anyway, it's shite because when I get in the gunner position of a jeep or whetever and speed off I fire randomly at trees and shit.

That's my excuse anyway, and anyone who says different is wrong

by the way as a sniper i would say it really matters  but as doc says shootin random out of a vehicle is like second nature

I try to shoot as many choppers and vehicles as I can to get mine up.  It's sort of cheating but it works because my global ranking on accuracy is higher than any other stat I have.
