My issue is with the game, you do a spotted on infantry, jeeps, tanks, but for osme reason it just leaves a ? on the map. As if there is a max range at which you can spot, or there is a wall in the way.

As to the commander spotting randomly its annoying to hear him all the time, worse the the info is pointless. If they want to do that, fine if there are people nearby been masscared and you have no uav ro scan, but otherwise, scan the map and put up a UAV in a useful place.

Thats fine if ur dealing with small squads and lone wolves. If ur up against a team consisting of 3 six man squads who work well together, ur going to be getting hit all over the map, the uav just isn't enough.

It won't literally "Stop" me from deleteing the files, but it will stop me from playing on a ranked server.

Meh. I don't know I have ALL ingame noises turned down to low just so that I can barely hear footsteps and shots and stuff, it works for the radio options too: footsteps + bullets sound 2x as loud as radio commands, and of course I have VOIP and TS at the loudest.

But I'll still stick by my guns, spotting flanking units, units capping a flag is quinessential. Sucks to be me if no one does anything about it, but at least no one can say I didn't do my job.

On a happy side-note, if people insist on constantly asking me to STFU, i usually treat them to one solid wall of 'Negatives' and 'Roger Thats'. A wall of sound so solid it blocks out ANY other ingame noise.

when playing dragon my team losses the docks and refuses to do attempts to win it back, my UAV gets destroyed right after repairing, so i have to spot blind on the map
yet they keep asking for suplies but i cant give them cuz i need to repair UAV with it.

I always like to know what's happening on every part of the map because it can affect what I decide to do.

Example: when I'm MEC on Karkand and I see that a group of US is approaching Suburb early in the game, I'll drive or run to Train Accident (or spawn there) and lay down some C4 because that's probably the next place they'll go after Suburb. That can stop them from getting to the Gatehouse and I can't do it unless my commander spots the enemies at Suburb even if no teammates are there.

I like commanders who give me as much information as they can.

The reason it's freaking annoying is because a squad is trying to play and all they can hear is

It's distracting.
It isn't helpful.

The best way to tell people where enemies are is:
1. run scan
2. tell the squad leaders roughly what the scan showed using voip

edit: the idea is for you to command, not point at enemies.

Random spotting is great, but VOIP and random spotting is the best way to work as a team. I'll use sharqui again- how easy is it to just speak to your commander and ask him where the enemy is in TV station, then he spots the area and finds people, whilst using UAV on a populated flag. SIMPLE AS THAT. Then u go and kill the people (probably idlers or the enemy commander) cap the flag and USMC HAVE NO CHOPPER. Game won. put some gaymores down, C4 the flag and you're sorted

I do admit the voice, especially the MEC voice, gets annoying over and over....HOWEVER, it's essential to being a good commander to spot the odd guys...especially when your team is fighting on two or three fronts....you can plop down the uav on the largest group and spot out the other two groups...i use the VOIP along with spot to tell the guys where they are at. Whoever thinks that the commander should "just use the uav thats what it's for" has obviously NEVER been a good commander.

SOmeone tells me that there is a tank to my right near a wall and i am hiding in a guard tower.

Then i stick my head out to see if it is true, guess what there is no tank at all

then a sniper blows my head off with a SVD...

dude, i know!! when i'm commander i do things in this order:

1. Run a scan
2. Place UAV over the area with most enemies
3. Spot EVERY SINGLE ENEMY that isn't in the UAV
4. Drop Artillery on the hodgepodge of enemies

and people tell me to STFU?? what the hell?? would you rather have me do nothing and have the US cap every single back flag in Karkand?

i can't even begin to count the number of times i'm MEC on Karkand and when our back flags are being capped he DOESN'T SPOT THE PEOPLE TAKING THE FLAGS!! so i have to just run in and guess where they are... normally dying...

The only problem I have is commanders spotting enemies that are on UAV. The exception to this is if the enemy is about to leave the UAV, or if the UAV is about to go down. Most of the time, I'll mentally tune out excessive commander spotting.
