Well, i finally decided to make an upgrade to my sh*t pc that won't play bf2 anymore because the vid card is a gonner.

Yea, I'm pretty excited and can't wait to see how much of a difference it will make, going from a Radeon 9700 Pro (shiza!) to a Geforce 6800XT. Wooo.
I only have 512 mb Ram, but it's RDRAM (which is, if I am not wrong, powerful?) so i didn't feel the need to upgrade that because it costs $100 per 256 stick. I also have Intel P4 3.06 GHZ. What settings will BF2 run on this?

It should run on high, i think, but i'm not sure. Try it, see what happens

K, thanks. I'll tell the world after installation and such, although i have no clue as to how to install all of that but I'm sure there are directions.(knock on wood)

Do i have to download a program to overclock? Because I've never done that before although in the reviews it says that it is easily overclocked. I guess i should google it.

rivatuner is a pretty easy way to OC your card. Nice equipment, where ever did you get the idea for those? ;-)

It is my understanding that RAM primarily affects map load times. The card and your system should be able to handle high settings. But, as was said earlier, try it. Worse case scenerio, it won't work and you scale back. I would save and get a new board w/o RDRAM in the future, though. That 512 is gonna be a real wall for you and as you stated in another post, it's hella expensive.
