Well, I have too many favorites to list, so I will just say what my absolute favorite is. EQUILIBRIUM is by far the best movie of all time (It kicks the Matrix's ass). See Christian Bale before his Batman days.

I liked crash, but I wouldn't say it was a great film. It really didn't even have a plot. Yes, it had a thesis, but it had no plot. I think it gave a pretty balanced depiction of stereotypes, though.c4_he_was_famous wrote:

The Matrix is better than Equilibrium. Sure, Equilibrium was bad ass. I didn't want to see it for the longest time because I saw it as a stupid Matrix rip-off. But, the fighting and story was WAY more interesting in The Matrix. Sure, they fucked up the sequels, but the first is by far the best action film of all time.messfeeder wrote:

Let's see, compare good and bad guys. Christian Bale is a better actor than Keanu Reeves, so Equilibrium wins in the good guy area.

Agent Smith is by far the greatest mother fucking villan of all time, beating out Vadar because Vadar really didn't do much shit in the original films (just talked a lot and had bad fight sequences). Nobody can fucking with an Agent, especially not Agent Smith. He's much more of a protaganist than a guy that wants to control people's emotions (gay).

Agent Smith has no depth. I liked the Matrix the first time I watched it, but after watching the sequels it just sucks ass to me now. Equilibrium delves into the genre of 1984/Brave New World Orwellian Science fiction. Plus, you gotta love those last two fight scenes! I almost crapped myself when he cut that guys face off!Jenkinsbball wrote:

Don't fuck with this guy.
Edit: I found a pic of that scene. It looks so much better in live action!

And this last fight scene with the pistols was great too. This movie has some of the best action scenes of any movie.

And can you believe this is the same guy? What a dynamic actor.

Actually I love Con Air. It is the pinnacle of tongue in cheek humour! I just thought it inappropriate to include in a list of serious movies. LOLGunSlinger OIF II wrote:

Lawrence of Arabia
My top ten favorite movies (this is actually ass hard to do), numbered for my benefit, not in any order and chosen based on my enjoyment/relation to them and not necessary their technical or artistic merit, this is by no means a ten best films ever list
1. The Shawshank Redemption
2. Good Will Hunting
3. Breaking Away
4. Office Space
5. LA Confidential
6. The Great Escape
7. Star Wars
8. Caddyshack
9. The Godfather
10. Saving Private Ryan
I had a little bit of trouble in the middle there, a lot of near misses and debating about how I'd define what my favorite movies are and such. I put way too much thought into that. Oh and that uber guy should give a list or at least suggestions.
