1.4 will be BETA (open source)

Fixed the Karkand exploit of being able to get inside the hotel
new map is being sponsored by gamespy (will be FREE)
infantry only MOD is being tested and might be released for the open beta test and the infantry only game mode boosts player hitpoints and removes all vehicles.

hmm take away bunny hopping , dolphin diving , and c4 throwing o no now im going to get owned well it looks like it will be all gernades,gernade lauchers, machine guns, and claymores c4 throwing in 1.3 is awesome y remove it stupid clan guys complaining they all bunny hop and use L85 and G3's

That guy also said the new map could be a later release, but it would be released with the beta.

I also think that boosting infantry's HP is a bad idea. Infantry is already harder to kill than in, say, Counter-Strike. If someone is shooting at you in BF2 you can most oftenly jump into the air, turn around, maybe go prone and kill the attacker. It's not the trick that'd work in CS.
I think that with boosting infantry HP the remains of balance will be killed. With some of the weapons it takes 7-8 direct hits to kill a soldier with armor, how much would be needed if he gets his HP boosted?
