After seeing EA's approval of the new map 'Road to Jalalabad' I decided to make a small poll/petition to add a few more goodies to BF2, before the release of 2142.  I have been researching new and experimental weapons from Wikipedia that may be employed into the military in the near future.  The only thing is the (X)M8 has been canxed by the U.S. Military.  Ok so on to my point.  Since I have been seeing EA listen to the people, I want to see a few things added, maybe a new slew of new weapons.  The above just to name a few.  Please sign the petition here and I will be sure to go through the proper channels and submit this to EA, the more the merrier, please show your support if you want to see some more goodies added to this game.

First up is the H&K (X)M8. Also can be compact sized.

The more signatures I get the better chance we have of EA listening.  I would personally like to see some or all of these weapons, Thanks for you guys' support in this, and hopefully this wont fall on deaf ears.  I guess this could be one last hoorah before 2142 goes full force?

VSS as an unlock . Or replace M24 with PSG-1 or M21 or SR-25 . USMC lacks semi-auto rifle ...

I have to admit, the CRYE (From GRAW) and the G11....Double you tee eff? Is the new production tactic to make the weapons fire a bix box of bullets? Gawd, what happened to sexiness in a rifle? Look at the XM8...How on earth could they cancel that.......its like a woman whos loud but looks so damn good and you want to brag about it.

Anyway......M8 has my vote

(If that G11 is cheap to produce I bet the British Army is gonna be equipped with it )

I'd personally like to see the weapons from Special Forces, Euro Forces etc as new weapons.

It'd be really nice to use the L85A2 for the assault class and perhaps a variant on the G36 too one that has a single fire and full auto. (not the carbine)

The plus side to these is that they don't need any new work to create the weapons, reload animations etc.

Dude , we already have 3 bolt-action sniper rifles , whats the reason to make 4th ? As rather good marksman I may told you that USMC on city maps lacks semi-auto , not another one bolt-action .
And all others... I don't like futuristic unapproval guns .

Cool cool, im liking all the input, lets keep it realistic too with the weapons...I dont want to submit alot of bad jokes to EA, I want them to take this as seriously as possible, because we are the players and the money givers.  And if there is a weapon I didnt mention please submit, so I can add as well.

add : semi-auto sniper rifle unlock ( VSS or PSG-1 as unlocks or stocks on city maps for USMC - M-21 or SR-25 )

The M-16A1 was the original automatic M16.  Back in the 'nam era.  Which if you know your rifles, the M16 for the assault class is the A1.  thanks for the post SniperFox, ill add that above.

the XM8 is basically G36 with rounded off parts for those who want a "future" weapon, would play the same as the G36 family, no use for it.

G11 would be cool but too strong, the bullets are so fast you´d die from the hydrostatic shock alone (if they implemented it with real world stats) if one only grazed you.
UMP would be nice too.

I´d rather have the EF guns for every map though, the HK21 rocks.

d3v1ldr1v3r13 , UMP45 is basicaly MP5 with slovered rate of fire . Do you really need a submachine gun with 25 round mag , 600 RPM and 19 damage ? No .

Soul76 I just looked at the Wiki between the XM8 and the G36 and youre absolutely right, the only difference is the design and barrel length, other than that the differences arent noticable.  The muzzle velocity for both are nearly identical as well.  Also a good point Longbow.  Keep in mind I didnt look up the technicalities of these weapons before posting, all I searched was experimental weaponry, and weapons I knew the U.S. Military were considering.
