Ok whats Happen to the L85A1

Been on holiday come back decide to play a little special forces.

I playing getting back into the game I come across a enemy medic almost point blank, now I'm armed with my trusty G3 assault rifle and body Armour, hes got the L85A1.

Now I'm thinking this guys is meat, I open up first but WHAM it just seems like one shot from him and I'm dead.

Hell i just put this down to bad luck on my part and a lucky head shot from him.

But I keep coming across him and it seem like 9/10 I lose the fire fight, it doesn't seem to matter what weapon I'm using or if I shoot first or even if his back is to me, he just spins round and Bang I'm dead.

Shotgun close range nope he has time still to kill me, PKM nope still alive and kicking, G3 nope:(, AK101 nope still out gunned.

Dont get me wrong I know they are some damn good player out there, but it just seemed like he couldn't miss any shots, hell it was like he was using a one shot kill weapon

But when did this weapon become so deadly and godlike?

It seems to have become the number one weapon for medics in Special Forces even forces which can normally use the AK101 or AK 47 are now using this gun.

Has the power been increased? Fire rate? Accuracy?

It just seems to be out gunning nearly all the other weapons at long, medium and close range.

L85A1 is the choice of weapons if you are SAS, otherwise use the AK-101. L85 was always known to take down infantry scoped up at long ranges. If the G3 was close action it would win everytime, but remember, he's a medic, he probably has bags somewhere like I do as I know someone is coming or in a hot spot. The worst thing you can do when I am playing is follow me. My tactic is to see someone then turn like I didn't see him, then I turn around only to find him trying chase me down, first thing is get the shot off first when going against a G3, G3 is 3 shots, L85 is 5-6 shots, but one to the head, move side to side or crouch and the L85 will be on your victim list before you know it. In SF the G3 is lethal.

Ive noticed there are ALOT of people using it these days. Ive only used it once or twice, and didnt care for it. But I didnt really stick with it long enough to get a feel for it. Its a gun that aggrivates the hell out of me....along with the PKM. I get killed more by those 2 guns than anything else.

if you get shot in the head once with the l85a1 its and instant kill. but after the first shit its not very accurate.

Hehe never thought to try, I'm wasn't mad keen on the L85 gun so I haven't used it much, maybe I should have tried It might have been a double knockout kill.

ive never liked the weapon so i dont use it, g36e / ak all the way for me even if i lose quite a bit. i just prefer it

but it is a crazy weapon and ive encountered the same thing. Good players will kill people with it a lot. its not my weapon imo

the best thing is snipe snipers with L85A1. But as said above, you must hit him with first trie. It is awsome weapon, if you know how to use it, especially in single shots.

DUDE, i cant put like 3-4 rounds with my PKM into a guy with an L85 and he shoots 1 freakin bullet and owns me. Im like WTF???? I used to use the L85 and was pretty good with it (like 20 or so kills in a round) but I don't remember it being THIS good. lol ive switched to the PKM

YEah, the L85A1 is a great weapon, but it is only useful at very short and long range. ANytime you have to use the scope close up you are screwed and you prob have to go single shot, at mid you will have to use single shot again, when a g36'er can just hold on to the trigger. I can still win those confrontations, just losing more than I would at long of very short range.

Sometimes server lag will make it seem like they didn't even fire yet when they have opened up a full clip or burst.
On the other hand medics can be tuff.

I'm with you. Usually just a few shots close range with my PKM will take down anyone, but I was on this one server where I would unload a whole clip on certain players (And, no, I didn't see any medic bags around them), but they would always kill me in 1 or 2 shots. They were all on the same squad, too, which seemed a little fishy to me. But I'm not one of those fags who automatically accuses everyone of cheating. I just left the server, because even if they weren't cheating, then their skills were out of my league of competition.

EA just can't seem to make up their mind about how much damage and accuracy they want to give each weapon. PKM used to be the suck. An earlier patch (I don't recall which exactly), and you have a better chance killing someone with the PKM than the M24 at the same range. Basically, whichever weapon people bitch about the most is the one they change for the worse, and then increase usefullness of another weapon in the same class, only to have people bitch about the one they made more accurate/powerful.

It's a crazy world..

The G36E is my favorite. I do better with that weapon then any other and the three round burst rocks. Very good grouping. I used to use the L85 until I got the G36E unlock. That is why I like SAS the best. Too bad I can't use my unlock when on other sides.
