Well travelers, you may have heard the war is coming to Jalalabad soon so all you hardcore vacationers will probably want to get there and get out as soon as possible. The great riches and wonders of Jalalabad are second to only to the wonders in the great deserts of the world. In this article we will be talking about some of the more popular destinations in and around Jalalabad and some of the more curious and interesting features to check out.
Lets get started with the location and topography of the area. Jalalabad is located at 34°31′N 70°31′E and is the capital of Nangarhar province in Afghanistan, 150 km east of Kabul near the Khyber Pass and west of the Kunar River. Included for those who wish not to read is a map:

The City
Once you are in the city you will have a world of open cart markets and second rate designer clothing at your fingertips.

You can also line your pockets with the chief export of Afghanistan...DIRT!! Yes dirt, Jalalabad happens to be the capital of the dirt mining world and they have more varieties of dirt than any other place on Earth.

As afternoon ends and evening begins, the streets of Jalalabad will start to empty out a bit as people will start flocking towards the popular recreation areas. The pride of the natives is evident without a doubt in their everyday life. How else to show your support for someone than to prop up a picture and a flag in the middle of the street across from an outhouse?

After the streets have all but cleared, you will need a ride to catch up to the people traveling to the recreational areas on foot. Hell, while we're at it, let's beat them there all together and more importantly, let's do it in style! When you got the cash, the Afghan-o Limo is the only way to go.

Now that you have passed the majority of people on foot, it's time to stop and make fun of the people who got pulled over. The fine for speeding in Jalalabad? Torture and Death. Darn, they shoulda taken the Afghan-o Limo.....tsk tsk
