When I look at this more closely, a few things don't make sense.
1. They skip from 2LT to COL, and do not include 1LT, CPT, and MAJ.
2. The Enlisted ranks are for the Corps, and Rank 18 is General of the Army.
Hopefully EA/DICE will iron this out with the next patch.

Seems to mean that EA and DICE already have those ranks in the system, but have put a "lock" on them maybe. In other words, they are currently unattainable, awaiting a future patch, or possibly the expansion.Greenie_Beazinie wrote:

Probably beta version ranks? Before DICE found out the Corps and Army are different.. lol
maybe like in AA, specials ranks for people who works ine the US army, and a rank for programmers.

I'm sure they lower the requirements when those become attainable.
So small group of people are gonna reach 2nd LT anyway, so why make that many ranks higher than that?

Well... they already need to remove one of them... USMC has no 5-star general rank... their 5-star is a Navy Fleet Admiral.
