A mentioned here the DMZ would like to invite all BF2 community members who are taking part in this weekend's boycott to play other FPS games together. Where possible we have turned our BF2 servers over to running other games for the weekend (listed below).

If you are not interested in boycotting that's fine but if you are thinking about blowing the dust off some of those other discs for a couple of days then it would be nice to have a group of regular BF2 players (the best gamers in the world ) join us as we see how the other half live for a while.

This is only for this weekend; we will be turning our servers back to BF2. Some of our servers can't be so easily switched for a weekend and they will continue to play BF2 (if this boycott thing isn't for you).

CSS doesnt have many bugs... i know of 2 and they are pretty much stupid ones no one uses. In my opinion i dont think this will change the minds of EA too much, But this might get their attention enough to maybe at least listen to the BF2 community.

I can't think of m/any bugs for CSS off hand. Probably because of valve's dedication to patching the game's bugs quickly through steam, releasing new maps and mdoels for free... etc.

I've basicly stopped playing BF2, last night i couldn't even join a server even if i did i have no doubt i would suffer lag spikes and crashes, but everytime i start Bang back to desktop i go... so i might be playing AA cause i like the teamwork and realism or maybe build some funky flying machine on Garry's mod.... Wooden Wars FTW!!

i havn't played CS: S in ages so i might join you later..

All the best though with making your point though.  I gotta say I went back to CS the other weekend and it was... terrible.  Absolutely awful and not the game I remember leaving behind.  I just don't seem to get on with any other online FPS other than BF anymore.

Pro Evo on the other hand...

BTW, you should learn from the CoD2 strike - I think5 months and no patches released, that community went on a strike. Next day, patch announced. I think like, over 1000 servers shut down that day.

I'm not responsible for the boycott, we're merely trying to respond to a community action.
The DMZ is a gaming community, currently focused on BF2.

We're also still running a BF2 server. I'm not about to make anyone else's mind up for them, simply to offer this great community of gamers (us BF2ers) an alternative FPS place to play for the weekend should they decide to boycott.

Thanks. We're here for the community and we don't make any money out of the servers (even from clan subs etc), in fact the DMZ senior staff spend quite a bit to keep it going. I pimp our clan and servers quite a bit on this forum but I try to ensure I do so in a responsible way; ie not get too in peoples faces and offer something in return (wiki data, events like this etc).
I hope we only add to the community and don't appear to leach off it.

I'm playing BF2 today, personally I don't feel like this boycott will do anything besides make a small dip on EA's player graph. I do support the idea behind the boycott though, and I hope your efforts do get noticed by EA so that it makes a difference in future patches and whatnot.
