My mate has just got BF2, which is great I already have it but when he tryes to get the loggin screen it goes fuzzy says "welcome to duty" and then comes up with a message about his vpu (not cpu) and he gets a warning message and he gets a send error message. Sorry to be so brief but its all hes told me.I think its to do with his grafics card but im not sure.His graphics card isnt G-force nor Radion. I can find out what graphics card he is running but for the time being: any ideas.

Thanks

VPU = Visual Processing Unit
So check if his video card is supported by BF2.

dont forget the virtual memory which is should be enough to support the game but.. normally its enough in standard set up..

He needs better graphics card and prob memory. His settings would be set on med or hig also, so he will need2 change the settings.

also

Problem - PC Freezes of Connecting to Account Server
Cause - Firewall
Fix - Either disable your firewall(s) or allow BF2 to have internet access. Zone-Alarm is notorious for been the cause of this as its allow/deny message is hidden under Battlefield 2 where you cannot accept it.

Sounds like your graphic card is unsupported. Happened with my old radeon 9200 without update drivers and my very old mx 400.
