At least I never read the books. I actually defended then and now the show producers for cutting out a lot of the nonsense I heard about from the books.
Watched all 14 episodes of Firefly.
It was quite enjoyable, very odd that there was a consistent theme of prostitution throughout and that it was presented as the most respectable trade of all the characters - except maybe the doctor.
Now I have to pay $4.95 to watch Serenity, and download the CAD file so I can 3D print a spaceship at work.

i watched serenity first iirc. people keep telling me to watch red dwarf but eh. how many space crew shows can one person really sit through.
Red Dwarf is quite patchy, especially the first couple of series, some episodes are quite poor.
It gets going a bit once the proper Kryten is involved.

Each episode is only 40ish minutes and the first season only had 6 episodes. I loved how small scale and contained the whole thing was. Going back to House of Dragon after that seemed just made me tired and bored of the grandiosity and negativity.
