Seeing lots of stuff about Maga-ites being pissed when they discover their benefits are being cut and they have to pay for the drugs which keep them alive.

Also most people including the relatively wealthy can't afford unlimited end of life care to give them eternal life.

I saw some dude dressed head to toe in Turning Point USA gear out here in Pennsylvania. We both stared at each other rudely for a moment.

I have never seen that in my life. Out here in the NYC suburbs you don't see that kind of stuff.

netflix is producing a show about a trans girl who wants to move out to the adirondacks or some shit and become a miner. the whole show pivots around him/her straining for acceptance with the coal-mining hill people. it’s like a bad joke. young americans are now being shown tv that promotes the idea of going back down the mines. literally every single generation of their families before that would have crawled on their belly across a field of glass - if not literally, being conscripted into foreign wars - just to escape that fucking shit.

Our society is so psychically and economically fucked that the trades pushers aren't trying to suggest people get into the trades to start families that would do better than them. Instead a lot of this stuff is pushed as a "don't be a woke homo. Dig a hole with the boys"

some of these youtubers have like 20 million subscribers and like 6+ figure net worth. i imagine many have other people working the farm when they're not on camera.

it's a little different than grabbing a garden hoe and manually ripping compacted glacial till out of the wet clay of an acre of land like a medieval peasant.
