I still have a 'gaming' chassis, and plan to use it for my next PC. While it is a relic and an eyesore (with a regrettable side window), it is still one of the highest-performers in unmodified air cooling. Probably still at least top 5, without looking it up.
The Aorus monitor I linked on the tech thread has a fairly ugly backside, but good numbers and price up front (still haven't looked further into it). I could easily live with something like that.
A gamer's chair, on the other hand, offers little in exchange for its gauche appearance. A chair for a desk should support good typing posture, not slouching. Different ergonomic requirements than a bucket car seat that assists in good footing over the pedals.
