I hate when people start talking about their pets in detail. Most girls I get to know through a dating app also has a pet I need to learn about too. I got a bunch of dog and cat names swirling in my head and there will come a point where my brain starts to get all of them mixed up.

I threw out a load of wheat bread this morning. It smelled funny. No mold but still a very weird rotten smell. I took a bite of the toast I made and it didn't taste weird but still that smell freaked me out dude. I am not buying bread from Quick check ever again.

I needed some stuff in town, and decided to get a fourth vaccine for various reasons.

I decided to take the bus. I know the govt wants us to use the bus, but I don't trust the govt so didn't know if they are using reverse psychology to encourage us to use the car, therefore I took the bus.

When I boarded the bus half the people weren't wearing masks so naturally I punched them in the face. The bus driver smiled at me through his mask and said "You know, these buses have CCTV, you'll be on the news tonight". I smiled back, through my mask "I hope so, I am the hero this town needs"

I got the vaccine out of the way first, the nurse asked "So you want a covid booster" I replied "No, I don't want a booster, I'd have been happier if the borders had been kept closed and the pharmaceutical companies had not duped us into handing over fortunes to them for vaccines which are flaky at best and dangerous at worst but I have no choice so here I am" She nodded and led me to a cubicle where I had to hand over all kinds of personal information, govt identity numbers etc. I'd rather have been probed. Eventually we got to the injection, she could see me tearing up and distracted me with a lolly. It was cherry.

Then I went to a bookstore, made my selection and went to pay. The pretty girl behind the counter leant forward, cocked her head, looked into my eyes and said "oh, Heinlein, why did you pick those?" "Because I want to fucking read them, are you stupid? Please take my money so I can get out of this hipster-infested hole". She went quiet and processed my payment efficiently.

On the way to the bus-stop I was accosted by a Big-Issue salesmen. As he was selling the Neighbours final episode special I decided to buy one as they could only appreciate in value. "That will be nine dollars" I gave him ten. Then silence for a while. Eventually "I suppose you'd like your dollar change" "Yes I would. In fact it cost me twelve dollars to earn those nine dollars so really I'd like three dollars in change, but you can keep those two dollars, we can call it a gift. Better still we can call it a wealth transfer from the ruling class to the workers, you schlubs keep going on about this, hopefully you're happy now" "Thank you for helping" he mumbled.

The trip home was uneventful. Now my arm is sore and I feel a little tired but perfectly lucid.
