Connecting to the account server.........ten years later!!!!!!

Yes when the patch was released its been taking 5-10 minutes after logging in to connect to the account server!

This problem existed shortly BEFORE and AFTER i installed the patch! Thank God I have no other problems!

Anyone else experiencing this?

PS the patch resets all your video settings to HIGH, so that may be why there are so many people gettin "LAG" after the patch!

Is that so? Haven't noticed anything weird with this patch actually. You could try to install the full patch, not the incremental. Maybe the next few times you restart BF2 it starts up faster, just the first time slow maybe...

yeah, i'm dealing with that too. But it didn't change my settings to high, it changed them back to medium, and 800x600 rez

i had this to a while ago but i reinstalled bf2 completely cuz i got new computer stuff
and now its gone its going fast it only takes 10seconds or something

I have the same issue ... logging in takes longer I think?

And it never retains my video settings which really pisses me off ...

My login times are varying from 11 mins down to 1 minute since the patch. Mind you it did this for a couple of days after 1.22 and then levelled out at about 20 secs.

I always had the same problem and thought this was "normal". Took 5+ minutes for login sometimes. Didn't think too much of it until I came across this in another post:
