they are not right at all. biden massively contributed to flattening the curve and getting on top of it. he released the resources and means necessary to scale-up and roll-out vaccination. wasn't that what YOU were complaining about with trump's federal response all along? that he hamstrung and crippled the response unnecessarily?
i know you like to be contrarian, but come on now. the biden administration has behaved like an actually competent government in the face of the crisis. nevermind that he was handed the disaster response equivalent of a flaming paper bag full of dog shit.
i agree that further lockdowns are highly unlikely, with the current picture (a new variant yet again could seriously complicate things). it seems that widespread vaccination has effectively broken the link between cases and hospitalizations/deaths, thus bringing the recurring (annual?) cycle down to manageable levels. this was always the only viable endgame: promote widespread immunity through vaccination and bring it under control to endemic levels, similar to flu.
