dilbert is nervous because he buys hookers.
Working in IT, I'd probably have only violated client confidentiality if I found something egregious like child porn or terroristic ideation. Glad I didn't.
The whole point anyway would be to get people to use it. Would be a hard sell if the government used it to backdoor-snoop and jail potheads.

What is terroristic ideation? Maybe some of us just like war porn without being terrorist sympathizers.
There's better hobbies macbeth.
@mac like mass shooting manifestos or plans to attack, kidnap or murder. Though truth be told, they'd have had to been more or less stored in plain sight or with worrisome names that come up on a scan.
Coming across something like a suicide note on the desktop, I'm not sure what I'd have done.

That golden nutty professor rant from Ferris is sure making its rounds on social media and the news today.
I really wish Twitter had a longer character limit. I wonder what Anthony Fauci is.
If that guy's not off meds, he probably needs to be on them.
The video I got the picture from included an interview with the man. Face mask are "dehumanizing satanic rituals." And he called the N-word an "atomic bomb word" or something. Basically a word to get people's attention.

I went down a rabbit hole yesterday reading something vaguely related to how Harry Styles wore a dress on some magazine cover recently. There is a subset of people who are apparently pushing for the de-gendering of clothes and it strikes me as a very niche area. I don't think it's really related to transgender issues, because as far as I know, a lot of the people aren't trans, though may identify as some fluid thing. However, it's like the perfect storm of weirding people out. Bearded dudes wearing makeup and dresses are certainly gonna get some side-eyed views from the general public.
In general, I think the "wear what makes you comfortable" is at least in theory a reasonable goal, but it is odd that people are devoting any amount of time to that right now, when I think there's much more pressing issues at hand. I do find that I seem to have a diametrically opposed viewpoint to certain people with the view. One of the people was basically writing to let your freak flag fly in a "I'M HERE!" sort of sense, whereas much of my approach to appearance in public is to not communicate anything specific about myself and to blend in.

men wore make-up (and high heels) a long time ago. high heels were invented for men, not women, in fact.
i can hardly care about 'controversial' fashion choices, i mean a man wearing a skirt or a sarong isn't going to change the world for me in any single way at all, but, yes, it does rather point to what a movable feast fashion is. 'norms' and 'gender-appropriate clothing' is as mutable as just about anything.

You seem really curious about all of this trans stuff. Are you considering getting involved in the transgender lifestyle or maybe dating one? I would encourage you to do both if it makes you happy. The youtube trans woman you posted made me realize that there are some people who can pass and should be accepted for how they feel inside.
I couldn't care less about harry styles
Any man can be judged on appearances. Clothing is just another variable. I remember when Star Trek TNG was new and a random male crewmember walking around in a uniform skirt stirred up all sorts of panic and condemnation. "Daring beyond belief!" "It's the year 2400 but how dare they don't conform to 20th century 'rules.'" I never did see a dude in a skirt on that show again, though I didn't complete the series.DesertFox- wrote:

There's a niche push to get the term "crossdressing" made obsolete, but I think it will still be relevant as long as male fashion trends differ from female. I think effort should instead be directed instead at changing it into something not pejorative. As lines continue to blur this could be something that happens on its own.
It's related to trans stuff I think because dressing up can be a big part of someone's effort to "pass" in part so the macbeths restroom defenders of the world won't notice and will leave them alone, letting them have a normal day.
Nothing you've said is new information to me. What was surprising is that it is someone's crusade at this point in time. If it's hard enough for society to accept trans or non-binary people on the whole, this approach seems tailor-made to run headlong into the sensibilities of conservatives as ammo in a culture war.uziq wrote:

I don't know how you came to that conclusion, but you are partly right only in that I am curious about it because it is something I don't know a lot about from personal experience. No, I'm not like the right-wing nightmare of someone learning about trans issues and seemingly going down that road because it's trendy. I'm perfectly comfortable with my own being, but that is why I'm interested to learn more about those who aren't. I'm glad you made some modicum of improvement towards accepting more people, I guess.SuperJail Warden wrote:

I would think the mark of having moved past our existing schemas is when it no longer needs to be justified. I think it was on one article of schoolboys somewhere not being allowed to wear shorts so they took to wearing skirts instead that there was a bunch of dudes commenting how kilts are comfortable in various circumstances. I've never worn one, so I can't speak to any of the tradeoffs, though.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

You're also not wrong in that if no one cared about such things, trans people of all types would likely have less problems in their interpersonal interactions.
Would you date a trans woman?
I assume dating a trans woman is like dating a mermaid.
I would date a mermaid
90% of this trans/cross-dressing crap is people acting out to gain attention, the real transgender people just get on with it quietly.
"Look at me! Me! Me! Me!" We shouldn't be encouraging it.
I don't have any fixed views on mer-people, it seems harmless.

Fuck Israel
it’s so much better to be churlish and boneheaded on an internet forum for that much-needed attention instead.
You're right, I should parade around in public bothering actual people and causing trouble.
Fuck Israel
if a person dressing how they want 'bothers you', i suggest you get a life.
Its attention seeking and its tedious. Don't these people have better things to do?
In all the LGBTIQWTF who is thinking about the furries? What about my feelings?
I have decided that if these weirdos can be pandered to then so can I. I want the right to use whichever lavatory I want AND I expect a litter tray in each one.
Until our demands are met we're going to parade around with our buttholes exposed and pull down all the toilet paper onto the floor in every public toilet.
Also I want the taxpayer to pay for my surgeries.
Pandering to weirdos and attention whores needs to be nipped in the bud before it gets out of control.

Fuck Israel
has it ever occurred to you that you're a weirdo who is tolerated by society, too?
