Played this game exactly once at an uncrowded pizzeria during junior high. Either huge beginner's luck or I was getting set up to take a hard fall later on. Bled time until there were stars out. Not playing the game again spared me from buying a deck.
I collected cards a bit during the mid 90's fad but never got into playing and never did much with it after that.

That's not how you play MTG at all.
Gimme a break, I played one session in the 90s.
I had a pretty decent squirrel deck back in the Odyssey days. Couple of friends tried the Magic Area and said it's not the same when you can't smell the Redbull on your opponent's breath at 10am on a Saturday in the hobby shop's back room. Girthstone feel isn't my jam, and it looks similar.

I'd love to. Nut Collectors were the heat of the build, 4 of them. Then you need some Squirrel Mobs, again 4. For enchantments, I had some card (Spider Silk was it?) that give +0/1 with flying. So now we've got flying squirrels. The key to the whole thing was staying alive long enough to get critical mass. If the game passed turn 15 or so it was almost a guaranteed win.SuperJail Warden wrote:
