what do you mean man?? the only thing claymores do is get you pussy kills... it doesnt make the sniper useless if he knows how to use the rifle. and as for the teamwork thing

Either this or with an Engineer. Unfortunately you cannot always approach a Claymore and use the wrench on it.

And yes, Claymores should be destroyable by any explosives.

And for Snipers being useless without their lame Claymores? Use your gun!

They stopped Claymores from being destructible because in all of their wisdom when making 1.2 they decided that using the 'G' key would allow Snipers to pick up claymores, Spec Ops to pick up C4 etc.

This was in the release notes for the patch. However they changed their minds close to release as they thought it would cause the game to become unbalanced (lol J-10).

And so we are left with the end product that is mines are indestructible unless someone wants to play minesweeper with a medic close at hand.

But hey at least they added them damn vehicle drops we've all been crying out for the last 10 months !

Far too many times where I have been walking along spotted a clymore out the corner of my eye which CAN NOT be passable. So we sort of stand there for a little while. My squad that has compiled here over time. none are engy's.  So "Gary, looks like your going in"

I am  sniper  that is my main kit, i fucking hate getting claymored. But i also hate getting killed/nade spammed/nub tubed but wat the hell you gotta deal with it.  Yes i do like it when clays where destrutible but it also fucked over the sniper.  Example, say your sniping on mashutar or what ever your on top of yoour biulding and someone spots you from behind you keep on sniping like you wher ebe for someone throws a nade up top (1.12)that fuckers goes booom
you sit there and wait and wait and he climbs up the ladder and you shot him once with your rifle you go to wait 5 or what ever seconds to kill him or you bring out ur pistol he most likely has a ful auto weapon so hes got like 2 seconds to shoot you and your dead.

(1.3) same example execpt he cant destroy your claymore he comes up the latter and boom a kill its the same purspose as the AT mine to kill by suprise.  IDK if that made any sense to you then good cuz it didnt to me....I get to go to taco bell todays!!!!!

Making clays explode from nades would practically make them useless and in that case snipers would be far too unpowered. Remember that any engineer can disarm claymores with that tricky tool, just stand beside it.

Did you play this game last year?  You could destroy the clays with nades.....why did they change it?

Wow, noticing your claymore is grenaded = someone at the bottom of the ladder
That means moving your arse to the ladder, looking down the ladder and giving him a nice headshot whilst he's climbing.
Oh yeah, only an idiot who spams claymores all over the place wouldn't notice if their claymore was destroyed, using it for self defence - and it being blown up will still give you time to kill them or even better, just leave the area and find a better spot. The guy will climb the ladder to find no sniper. Then you take him out when he's ontop of the building.

Sometimes i think just how much intellegence these "sniper" only guys use.

i said that the triggering mechanism would be ruined if you grenaded a claymore so it would go away but it would not blow up and kill everything infront of it as it blow up as itdid before the "bad" patch.

I would like to see claymores be destructable. If a sniper lays one down and realizes that its in plain light, he should be able to remove it so he can still lay down his two mines.

No, I didn't. Appearently using clays was a completely different thing then and Idon't know anything about it but I believe they were quite worthless back then.

Claymores should definitly be destroyable with grenades. Or even bulles. The change made to the claymores in 1.2 must go down in history as the most retarded changes ever.
