Em no, Jay the Libertarian chooses to live in the highest taxed and most highly governed and socialist part of the socialist nation which is America.DrunkFace wrote:

Good news here though, I've been here 10 years so my lifetime health loading of 8% on medical insurance is removed and goes down to $150/month.
Yes we have socialised healthcare - no I don't want to share a room with a poor person if I get sick.
Fuck Israel
In Swansea your accpeted into the family as an adult unless you partake in this kind of behaviour. In Cardiff its totally unheard of and frowned upon. These two cities are 1 hour apart by motorcarSuperJail Warden wrote:

My property taxes pay for the schools, fire department, police, roads and the local government offices. Cops and teachers are overpaid here.DrunkFace wrote:

Mediocre if my house was 1 block away it would be worth about 500k more because of the school district and zip code

You are a suburban New Yorker. You are supposed to blow thousands of dollars a year sending your kid to the local private Catholic school.
I might for middle and high school. The neighborhood elementary school is literally across the street from me though, and it's the one above average school in town.
For the amount I'm paying in school taxes the district should be top notch and I shouldn't need private school.

$8500 a year? You are underpaying.Jay wrote:

In NJ, the average spending per student is $19,000. My hometown is $15,000 and your town is much nicer.
The childless and retired are subsidizing your kid.

Which should tell you the quality of the Catholic school education. Catholic high schools are only good for putting your kid around other upper income spoiled suburbanites. I think the local Catholic schools had bigger drug problems than my own.

The tuition of these schools are roughly $50,000 each just to commute. Unless you are willing to pay college tuition prices, you are wasting your money.

Unfortunately, the high school I went to is now $32k/year. Can't afford that

bf2s has dissolved into comparing dick size via the local real-estate value? and [people here actually think] higher is unequivocally better?
what a time to be alive.

higher is worse. I've heard the Seattle real estate market is really taking off. Also read that a lot of parts are getting gentrified.
it was questioning the logic of the people who think higher is better.
and yes. and yes. it sucks.

It bothers me how much the average American will argue gentrification is a 100% cool process.
Same people would be upset if Walmarts all shut down.
I don't think higher is better. I think the 600k I paid is absolutely ridiculous and wish I had the balls to pack up and move to South Carolina. I wouldn't even have to take much of a pay cut, and my wife wouldn't take one at all. My quality of life would improve tremendously. Alas, all my family is here and it's scary starting over with no friends around.pirana6 wrote:

I wasn't asking if higher was better, I just did a poor job getting the sarcasm across.
