That's just what the American tulip lobby wants us to think.uziq wrote:
hate to break it to you yanks, but i don't think the netherlands has been associated with tulips for quite a while.

they still produce tulips but i mean the stereotype doesn't have a whole lot of valency anymore. it's not like when people mention the netherlands here, everyone goes "tulips!" it would be like going on about carpet-bagging yankies or something.Jay wrote:

i'd rather have tulips on my organ than a rose on my piano.
My phone is past 2 years old and I'm looking to get a new one. Google Fi and a Nexus 5x is starting to looking damn tempting.
I don't need a huge phone and don't do much that's taxing so the 6 and 6p are way overkill for my needs. I rarely make phone calls so the Fi system will probably work for me. Also the $45 /mo instead of Verizon's $95 is a draw. And why were on it, fuck Verizon and their fucking company. A small step above Comcast if you ask me.
If anybody has any input i'm all ears.

In Copenhagen there's a small community/area called Christiania. They grow/sell/smoke weed all they want and the cops don't do a thing about it. Why? Cause the people living ther don't stir shit up.
that's only part of the reason. that place is pretty disgusting. you can get a lot more than just weed there too. actually whenever police do go there now, there is loads of unrest and trouble. it's just become more hassle than it's worth.Ultrafunkula wrote:

There was a documentary about the place on TV a couple months ago. It has been cleaned up a bit and seems to be going in a better direction. But yeah, wouldn't go there after sunset myself.uziq wrote:

haha you sound like a dickhead. You don't tip a bellhop? Taxi? Casino dealer?DrunkFace wrote:
Ahh good 4 people with 4 different methods to tip already.
I'll be number 5. As a general rule I never tip.
Anyway whats 15 or 20% you tip a bellhop or casino dealer (its also illegal to tip casino dealers). As for a taxi, do you tip the bus driver?

I rarely tip, if there is any fault with the service I wont. If I have to go to the bar to order food, no tip
"Any" doesn't offer much margin for error.
Im not as harsh as that makes out but if I feel they should of done better then we'll see next time if I go back or not.
Food costs a lot now to eat out, its not my fault the owners are tight cunts. Pay the staff more you wankers.
I wouldnt get on well in America, people would be holding their hand out while I just walk past or even just low five them.
You pay £150 to spend one night in a hotel, at the desk the suit behind the desk tells the lad to 'carry the bags up', he or she does, you go in the lift, some small chit chat, he carries them to the door, opens it, and then you pay him. What for? I didnt ask, your boss did, and he's already paying you. Again, business owners, stop paying shit money and offering tip incentives, that is if you pass them on.
Im probably wrong in all of this, its just how I see it

Probably gonna get a 5X, everything I've read so far seems like good news.
i can't remember the last time i've taken the bus (public transit is terrible in OC), but i don't recall ever tipping them.DrunkFace wrote:

Anyway, just seems like a different culture altogether.
