If you can sell digital copies of things, why can't you give them away for free?

How would a German court set a precedent that forces how an American company does business globally? Or any nonGerman company. Do you understand how international trade agreements are made?

This is another one of your pseudointelligent readings of the law. Just like the other day when you suggested that making Wal-Mart pay higher wages was an unconstitutional crime. Stop being stupid.

Forcing Walmart to pay higher wages than its competitors IS unconstitutional. It's being singled out. Equal protection under the law prevails.

The German court would set a precedent within Germany, not the rest of the world. If the case went through they would set themselves up to be a haven for the likes of piratebay.

The bill required businesses with revenue over a billion to pay a higher wage. That is no more unfair or unconstitutional than forcing someone with more revenue to pay more taxes.

i highly doubt it'll be ruled unconstitutional as higher income earners pay a higher tax rate...

Basically, they force more gas into the engine to produce smoke.

I really hate American conservatism.

It would be cool if the scientific community consulted some marketing people before they name discoveries.

It is 25-45 degrees colder along the eastern seaboard than usual. People are pointing out how cold it is to "prove" global warming isn't real.

Whenever an article on the God partical is posted, people try to use it to prove Jesus because it has God in its name.

I'm pretty sure that these two names have been much more widely used in recent years.

Maybe people shouldn't be so intellectually lazy and assume things mean what they think they mean.

Half the population is below average intelligence, there is no hope.

Maybe people need to realise that "global" doesn't mean the square km you live in, neither does it mean the 10sq kms around your house or 1000sq kms around your city or even a million sq kms around your country. It means the global half a billion sq kms, so your little insignificant snow storms means exactly sweet fuck all.

This.

Even movies like "The Day After Tomorrow" from 2004 taught us that the climate change will mess up pretty much everything, including a lot icier climate, e.g. caused by melting of polar ice caps, which could cool down the Gulf Stream.
That would heavily influence the climate in Europe.
