The shooting happened about 10 minutes from where I was working today. A soldier standing at the national war memorial was shot and killed. The gunman stole a car, drove a couple hundred yards to parliament hill where he walked into the centre block and open fired. Sergeant-at-Arms Kevin Vickers managed to take out the gunman.
