Those sound expensive, especially considering it's for a BMW

I replaced all 8 pads on my car now my brakes are spongy as hell. But not spongy like there's air, there's a specific symptom: When I initially press the brake pedal it goes almost all the way to the floor. There is resistance but its a small amount and builds slowly as the pedal goes down. If I pump the brake quickly once or twice THEN it feels perfect and the pedal doesn't go down farther than a few inches. I'll leave the brake alone while I travel to the next stoplight then it repeats.

i always assumed it had something to do with the brake lines when your pedal depresses almost all the way to the ground.  The only time I ever had that happen was in my truck and right after i depressed the pedal all the way I saw liquid shooting out underneath the wheel well and ended up having to replace the brake lines

I haven't seen this on cars.....but when you change out brake pads on small aircraft the brakes are spongy until you burn them in (run up power and drag the brake for 100 or so yards and heat them up....then they work normally) but like said I haven't seen that on cars. Spongy brakes are almost always air in the lines, maybe try giving them a really good bleed again, if that doesn't fix it then you may have a leaking line like ken said. Grab a flashlight and crawl around on the ground and look for wet spots.

When I say "spongy" I think I'm feeling the wrong feeling. More like I have to prep the piston to get into position before actually pressing the pad on the rotor.

This Rob explains it well as I have the exact situation, including a recently replaced rear caliper. I think I'll try the fix he found then move to a bleed if it still fails.

In my opinion, an air condition in a car is a safety feature on the same level as an ABS or airbags.
Hot temperatures can drastically affect your brain, causing slow reaction and bad judgment.

well, it was purchased cheap with a known bit of issues. So far nothing that has gone wrong has been a big surprise. The other good news is that this should be the last major repair that was needed.

I was like.......wow potato harvesters have an option for a remote turret mounted .50 caliber machine gun, dam I'm going into the potato farming business. But then Macbeth ruined it for me.

I'm pretty sure that's a pesticide spray gun.
And those antennas are an uplink to weather satellites.
And those nets are for catching startled or fleeing deer.

naw, the turret on top is a potato cannon to keep the competition away from your spuds.
the netting on the side is to keep mosquitos out.
and the antennas could have only one purpose..........

Look on the bright side of it.......at least you won't have to change the heater core on it.
