Cubs are still picking up where they left off last (hundred) season.
Ms fans every year
All the sudden everyone is A-OK with pitchers using pine-tar? The yankees do it so now the rules need changing? I bet if someone playing the yankees does it, it's still the worst thing in the world and their cheaters. Double standards man
All the talking heads on certain sports networks/shows are talking about how the rules should allow substances. How it's unsafe to have pitchers throwing in the cold/wet because the ball slips and hits them. As if it's been happening SO much more often. Apparently it never got cold during baseball seasons 1850's-2013
Early pitching was awash in people adding substances to the ball. A spitball used to be legal.pirana6 wrote:

They have rosin behind the mount for the purpose of improving the grip. Pitchers will also lick their hands. It's hard to justify having a pine-tar scarf around your neck though.
If you look at the bill of most pitcher's caps, you can see pine tar residue. It's just one of those nuances in the game where you can't really quantify what amount is legal and what isn't.
24/7 sports talk radio/media is as much of a joke as 24/7 news cycles. It's all about being contrarian for the reaction and controversy. I share your disdain.
Meanwhile, the Halos offense is one of the best (if not the best) in the league right now. Too bad they have a bullpen full of little leaguers trying to close games out. I think the number of blown chances by the bullpen is now at 10 for the year. Out of 24 games.
Blown 4 out of 7 opportunities. Not good either way.
Let's see how long my team goes without imploding. I drafted Braun, Tulowitzki, Bautista, Pujols and Puig with my first five picks in a 12 team league I play in every year. Currently sitting in first place...

Toronto is on an absolute tear
Boston can't decide if it wants to be good or be terrible
Detroit crumbles
Oakland and Seattle duke it out in the west
This has been your AL update...

Cubs have won 4 in a row! I think the world is about to end.
They might win the championship!
Hahaha hahaha xD
Hahaha hahaha xD
After last nights win, now a 5 game winning streak, they are only 10 games out in their division. I think they might have a chance

Not a bad view for Monday's game. Another Halo Victory!
i like this year's A's.
tbh, i've liked every year's A's since 1970 . . .

So, the time I choose to ignore baseball, cubs do well. Go figure.
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
I like the cubs... and I also like disappointment, but I think the two are interchangeable.
Bandwaggon. BANDWAGGON! Did you "always" like the yankees too? And did you change your mind in 2004 with all those pink hats?Steve-0 wrote:
