Lahaina. we stayed at Kahului, near the airport - was central, and had a costco right around the corner. Hana's a nice little town. Wailea (a resort town).Kimmmmmmmmmmmm wrote:

Kimmm my vote would be Lahaina, its on the west side. If you going to be there more than a few days I'd suggest driving up Haleakala early in the morning to catch the sunrise.... its a really nice view. The elevation is over 10,000 feet and it gets cold, so wear jeans and bring a sweater or jacket. Oh its national park so you might want to check and see if its open with the government shutdown and all.
