I love the Cello, but it's one of the few instruments I don't play, (exaggerating much? Yeah? So?)
Listed to the band Apocalyptica, specificly the track "Path" - it's amazing how many sounds you can get out of that instrument.

Piano (Wurlitzer upright, and a bunch of electric), organ [yes, I have one with knobs and everything (e: a Gulbransen Rialto II)], REALLY awful guitar (I have a non-electric acoustic that won't stay tuned and a Line 6 Variax acoustic that never seems to lose it), and a handful of esoteric instruments I've bought on a whim, like the stylophone. They're not poll options but darned if I haven't heard things like piano, organ and guitar used in orchestra. Anyone else started playing/still play? And what?

Bass, I'm quite talented, or so I've been told by pretty much everyone who's heard me play. Bit out of practice at the moment.
I don't care if that's not an orchestral instrument, they're often overrated.
I like bass, but I want to improve at the instruments I've got before picking up another.
It's practice, it's not a magical thing. Half an hour a day and you'll see slow but sure progress.
