So I take it you're not playing any more of the Curr of Durty games?Uzique The Lesser wrote:
i remember when i had to do that. i put it off for ages. the heatsink i bought was retarded as well and took like most of a day to properly fit back on. rage. not even as if there are any games worth playing now that justify 'omgerd overclocking', either.
not sure if that's even meant to be a joke. the last cod game i played was 4. it wasn't that good.

It was. There's not a good reason for me to upgrade from a 570.Uzique The Lesser wrote:

The U.S. government requires the credit agencies to provide you with a copy of your credit report once a year for free. You can do it online. It only takes a few minutes.

'played' as in, played intensively, committed to, took an interest in. i wouldn't say i was a 'player' of bf3, either, and i probably clocked closer to 250 hours on that.
or would you prefer me to dismiss the later CoD games without having any experience of them? he was obviously using 'played' there in the sense of being a 'player', someone who identifies themselves with a game or game community.
and on that record, i 'tried out' the later CoD games a lot less than you did. weren't you in a clan for mw2? rofl.

Nope.Uzique The Lesser wrote:

yes you were. you and your brother had clan tags and everything. but okay. lie about it. guess the guy that no-lifes on LoL has to lie to keep his gaming 'reputation' intact. it was called Gte] or something. you guys would gangbang on mumble or some skype type voice-comm and play proper mw2 lobbies.

My brother was in a 'clan' (more like a group of people who identified they were premade) called [GTe (Gravy Train Express), I played with them but never donned the tags because having a clan in MW2 is dumb as shit
never played any lobbies, neither did cammy.

ok then. so you were a far heavier player of the later CoD games then me. just like i said. cool. have a nice day
remember all those discussions we used to have where i'd call you a nab for thinking that cod4 was 'so good', in comparison to earlier ones? kinda funny you'd make out i was 'into' the later ones, when i would even taunt you about thinking cod4 was as good as the first 2.

Who honestly cares how much someone's played any Call of Duty or who wears a clan tag? You can do either and not be one of those HURR DURR 1337 pricks who smack-talks in a whisper so as not to wake up his mom 'girlfriend.'
That is one of the reasons I like playing multiplayer FPSs on the PS3 than the PC. The way the PS3 handles games cuts down on the 1337 clan behavior that ruin the PC experience.
console games have headseats and way more smacktalk and taunting than pc versions. i completely disagree. major benefit of FPS games on the pc is you can find a good 'community' server, normally local and ideal to your preferences, and play continually in the same extended group of people for years.Macbeth wrote:

PS3 doesn't come with a free headset. You are going to have to buy the $30 bluetooth headset if you want to talk in game on the PS3. I think that makes a difference since all of the people I met on the PS3 are much more mature. Additionally in the Battlefield games the only people you can talk to on the headset are squad mates.
BF3 on the PS3 now have dedicated servers and you can look up and hook up with your friends already.

@zeek: That is if the FPS game on the PC isn't P2P anyway.
eh? how many fps games are peer 2 peer? or you may pay 2 play? i don't get your point. almost every single fps game i have played on pc has servers and a server-list.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

FC3 and Space Marine come to mind. There was an article awhile back where Ubisoft said it was for the good of the players and had nothing to do with fighting piracy. They may have changed their mind, but since I haven't played multi FC3, I dunno. With Space Marine, it caused disastrous lag until they were able to fine-tune it a bit. Now it only has annoying lag. It's a real pity because the game was fairly popular to begin with, and now I'm stunned whenever it finds over five games running that I can potentially join.
Isn't MW3 P2P as well? I haven't bought that one, so can't say for sure without searching it again. I'm sure there's a list of P2P only multiplayer games for the PC out there that some disgruntled gamer cobbled together.

Console has more children with mics. BOTH OF THEM.Macbeth wrote:

sure I played them more than you
Those discussions never happened, I never said CoD4 was better than earlier ones
where are you getting these hilarious outright lies from lmao
dunno. every single fps game i've played the fosters teams/leagues/communities/'a scene' has had a master server list and a lot of infrastructure to support such a thing. and i'm standing by my point about in-game VOIP smacktalk. a ps3 mic may cost $30 but the VOIP 'culture' and use in console games is widespread. on pc, the general tendency traditionally is to communicate with your pals via a private voice-comm server. in console games it's way more often a free-for-all.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

the only game i see voice comms being abused on or made annoying is tf2. which seems to be a specious example. and it's not hard to blacklist the sort of reddit/4chan servers where that mic spam happens, and, again, find a reliable and consistent community server. something that it is much harder to do on consoles.
