apparently it takes 2 pages of discussion to establish the difference between a famous historical clip from the suffragette struggle and a .gif of someone being run over.

We should have a violent imagery thread
just use the MMA thread.
we already use that one for gay porn
I thought that's what this thread was for.
he is creepy. I saw a video of him jerking off some blindfolder guy on a radio show or something and when he pulled the blidfold off he clearly wasn't into it, but he kept going anyway even though he was gettign pushed off

Writing out thank you cards for my wedding last year and I now understand why my wife procrastinated so badly. Hand cramps!

do you think people will care that it's hand-written? we don't even send out thank you cards for attending weddings.
How do Muslims do weddings anyway? I have only ever attended Christian weddings.
You normally don't send a thank you card after attending. These thank you's are for gifts received.13/f/taiwan wrote:

we don't send thank you cards for the gifts. we might thank the giver in-person but that is how far it goes.
we also don't celebrate every single anniversary, birthday and mother's/father's day.
it's very hard to answer that question as it depends on culture and everyone has their own 'style.' i can speak for arabs, to an extent. some might prefer do a mixed wedding(men and women in the same wedding hall), and others will separate the men and the women and have only the immediate families come together at the end to leave with their respective families. there are a number of arabs who do mixed weddings. it changes when you go up north from the arabian peninsula where they are more liberal/secular(syria, palestine, lebanon, etc.) and to the west(egypt, tunis, morocco, etc.).Macbeth wrote:

do you want to attend an muslim wedding? i can give you the address of a wedding hall that specializes in arabic/islamic weddings. they're very frequent and easily accessible. anyone can just walk in. you don't even have to speak arabic.
how do christian weddings go?
? I am sure you must have seen one on T.V.13/f/taiwan wrote:

The wedding happens usually at a church but anywhere is fine as long as you have a priest. On one side of the row of seats is the groom's friends and family. On the other the bride's. The maid of honor and the best man stand off to the side of the alter where the bride and groom are usually with the other bridesmaids and whatever the men are called. They take their vows, kiss, and leave the church while everyone claps and shit. Then everyone goes to the wedding reception to eat and drink.
How do Muslims do funerals?
there is a prayer at the mosque followed by a burial at the cemetery.
i should add that weddings over here are slightly different then back home. for example,
You normally send out gift thank you cards within a month.Jay wrote:
