you're accused of racism for wanting to exclude non-whites from a country that your fat white ass went to and already took from non-whites. that's a little odd, no? claiming dibs on a country/economy/natural resources that aren't properly yours? you yourself being an immigrant? white people as a race being newcomers? seems a little odd to declare a whites-only-zone when you've already profited so much from the involvement and contribution of non-whites. especially strange considering it's not even a "white western democracy" historically.Dilbert_X wrote:

except most slaves weren't used for house-chores. they were the lucky few. most slaves propped up an entire economic system of wealth and privilege for free labour. not ironing clothes. you almost make it seem pastoral. it's an incredibly dumb comment for extra to make.Jay wrote:
I wish I owned a slave. life would be so much better if I didn't have to iron my clothes, do dishes, or go to work. Personal androids can't come soon enough!
Britain owned slaves and not only that subjugated several nations whom before meeting Britain were sovereign nations only to have their national and cultural identities raped by the British for monetary gain. You guys even treat your own soldiers like garbage and force them to die for your King appointed by God.Uzique The Lesser wrote:
yeah because all british were slave owners
the fuck are you talking about? that's like saying everyone from the confederate south is a paid member of the KKK.
nobody in my family history owned slaves. also i wasn't "putting you down", i was saying how stupid it is to brag about it, and turn it in a point of pride. strange thing to take a family pride in.

and we treat our soldiers like garbage? that's interesting. my cousin is an officer in the marines. i went to his passing through ceremony. didn't seem like they treated soldiers like garbage to me. please tell me more about how badly we treat our troops in comparison to americans.
Those were war crimes in a war.Dilbert_X wrote:
If its OK to be proud of having dropped napalm on Charlie I think building the family fortune off the backs of slaves isn't hardly a big deal.
For fucks sake!Dilbert_X wrote:
What would have happened if they'd travelled all that way and no-one had bought them or put them to work?
When have I said exclude them? I've just asked why they want to come here, to be surrounded by supposedly racist whites who don't want them here, is that really preferable to living amongst their fellows?Uzique The Lesser wrote:

What I don't understand is why the United States needs to have an opinion about literally every thing going on in the world. Now that Obama basically came out in support of regime change that means we have limited our own options as to how to resolve the crisis. Any backpedaling on our part will be perceived as weakness on the domestic front, even if public opinion doesn't really give a shit.13/f/taiwan wrote:
Turkish police caught Al-Qaeda/Syrian fighters with Sarin gas. It explains why the US immediately dismissed the claims by Carla Del Ponte(a very credible UN Human Rights Investigator) that the rebels may have used the chemical weapons. I'm interested to see how the west will spin this story.
In the meantime, the rebels have stated that they would not attend meetings brokered by the UN, US and Russia. Iranian elections are coming up and all the "candidates" are allied with the Ayatollah. There will be no more disagreements and fights between Ahmadinejad and the Supreme Leader. It also means more support for Hezbollah and Syria. And we still have Saudi Arabia, the primary supplier of arms/money to the Syrian rebels, headed for a change in leadership. What an exciting year! I'll be sure to keep everyone of you updated.
