One of my oldest mates stayed the past weekend and he's a tastemaker when it comes to music. This is one of the vinyls he bought whilst here.
'tastemaker'? you do realize porcupine tree are one of the most talked about 'fan' oriented bands ever right?
Pretty Lights - Still Night
Alpha as fuck.
I've been quite aware of Porcupine Tree for a few years now and own a couple albums. I wan't referencing the band as an example, just the fact he bought the LP and I'm currently listening to it on youtube. My mate is the sort of guy who will say find an artist like Autechre, get their back catalogue, then other artists on the label, then influencing artists and keep going from there. He's constantly listening to new music and bands and then making appropriate recommendations based on the listening tastes of his friends. He doesn't see himself as anything more than a music enthusiast.
he'll buy autechre's back-catalogue? he a millionaire as well?
oh he stopped using the maschine as his main ableton controller and now uses one of those custom controllers from berlin that all the sehr kool german producers use. nico jaar is such a berlin hipster! i like the use of the beatbox... one thing you can't take away from jaar is his live performances. pretty sure he was voted the best electronic live artist of 2011 or 2012. live band playing live electronic albums .
i don't really like boiler room sets that are ableton/software heavy. nico jaar did a good job here making it more than just watching a dude checking his email on laptops. like these 2 guys... some of the best producers in the fringes of avant-garde electronics, but a totally boring boiler room to watch!

i can't believe you got so butthurt over me mentioning liveleak's average/intended audience. wow. you're dragging that stink all around the forum. if you are so hurt by the association, perhaps grow thicker skin. or stop visiting the dumb white-power redneck carnival that is liveleak. just some suggestions.
i have enjoyed his State of trance podcast from time to time

I have up to episode 500 downloaded for ASOT. If I could suck Armin off, I would. And I'd do it for free.Kimmmmmmmmmmmm wrote:

Alpha as fuck.
and you diss "dubstep faggots"? something must be getting massively lost in translation across the NA-europe divide. in europe, trance is bottom-rank with hardstyle/hardcore as the music for the absolute dregs. trance/psytrance fans are the insane clown posse of the electronic world over here.
favourite anonymous artist from germany with mysterious literary monikers 2012/2013

one from the personal collection. something heard best when etched into solid material. physical sound.

He died after battling the disease, and losing most of his arm. After having been placed in a coma due to the disease spreading, he eventually died of liver failure.
The flesh eating disease is what killed him.
actually he just died another alcoholic deadbeat. what is it with heavy metallers never growing up and always feeling sorry for themselves? gotta keep moshing and pounding the beers bro, otherwise people will doubt your macho credentials! The surviving members of the metal band Slayer said that the guitarist Jeff Hanneman had died of alcohol-related cirrhosis of the liver, not from an infection of flesh-eating bacteria
