Battlefield 3 - Main Thread

I really hope that this is a teaser hinted at Battlefield 2143.
Remember, in BF2's final expansion, Armored Fury, there were also several Easter eggs hinting at BF2142.

The pterodactylus a hint for a Battlefield -150M.

Seems odd that they would put something like that in (a new model instead of an old one), if it wasn't a sign of what's coming. I'd definitely like to see a new 214X game. Never got to play the original as much as I liked because the master server always knocked off.

I'm not sure what Premium sells for now, but I would've offered the advice of just buying the last 2 DLCs if that would have been cheaper.

The only thing that seemed worth getting in CQ were weapons, and Armored Kill was just fail on a grand scale.

I've liked air superiority so far. I haven't had a big problem with collisions, missiles whores are easy to lose and it's something different to change things up between ground pounding game modes. I don't even like flying the jets in the other maps but AS is something different. I doubt I'll play AS anywhere near as often as other game modes but for now it's something new.

I just don't see how you could enjoy something like that -- in my mind, its even worse than BF1943's air superiority mode.

Its probably because you don't like flying the jets in the other maps. They get boring after a couple of hours.

On a side note, what do you all think BF4 is going to be like? After Simcity, Dead Space 3, etc. I am 50/50 on whether I will be getting it. This might just end up being the nail in the coffin.

Heat seeker missiles combined with a cluster of about 15 enemy planes. I just didn't enjoy it.

That said, I had success with the gun because people would ignore being shot in favour of following other planes.
