Ehhh I still subscribe to the idea that porn is exploitative of women. Sure there are like the 1/100 like Joanna Angel that saw the huge profit to be made putting out stuff and marketing other girls and products but I think the overwhelming majority of them do it because they are stuck in a capitalist system that would sooner see them starve than anything else. How many girls would choose being a pornstar over having a nice office job with vacation and benefits etc. ?

Yeah I agree it is generally exploitative. There are some who are intelligent and used it to become wealthy. Apparently Summer Adams used her years of doing porn to save up and buy property and now she's a millionaire real estate owner and successful business woman. In the minority to be sure, but I wouldn't pin the stereotype of "fucked childhood/low self esteem" to every porn star.
I have a theory on why men label women who get into porn as having childhood issues.
It is a mix of personal shame and misogynist gender roles. No man is proud to be wanking to some girl that wouldn't touch him unless her mixed her with drugs and money. So he has to create some sort of illusion of superiority to overcome this humiliation. So he falls back on the horribly wrong idea that women don't like sex and social role that says women are supposed to be chaste and pure. So by saying she is a sad slut he is improving his position in the relationship which in this case is obviously skewed in her favor.
I also do some dream analysis if you post in the dream thread as well as personality analysis like my figuring out why jay hates hipsters and jews. And why roc hates hipster

There are some women who direct and produce porn. I genuinely think some women in porn just love sex and it is good money. Some people are just exhibitionists and knowing that thousands of guys will later jerk off to watching them get banged is something that they like.
Like anything, stereotypes never tell the whole story, but at the same time I do agree it is generally exploiting women for sexual gratification. Whether this is acceptable or not is up to the individual.

I was friends with enough strippers whilst in the army to say that most of them get into it just because it's easy money and they don't have any other skills. They don't see it as being much different from waitressing, except the tips are better and guys hand them blow. Some of them are just failed gold diggers that are waiting for some rich guy to fall in love with them while dancing and sweep them off to Monaco (happened to a stripper friend in Austin). Some of them really just get off on feeling wanted by the creepy sort of men that frequent strip clubs, others feel so disgusted with their lives at the end of the night that the last thing they want to do is have sex, or think about sex. Once at a strip club with some mates we had a couple strippers chatting to us at our table.
