Now, let me begin by saying that this isn't intended to flame anyone or cause troll-like arguments but seeing as Chuy shuts down a topic if it doesn't fit his opinion, I thought I needed to say this.
First of all, you made a comment before about how BF2s.com website, forums and server are all private property so you'll do whatever you liked. You made out like you owned everything and I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but you don't. "This Forum" is not owned by you but by punBB and always will be (Okay you own the forum itself but not the licence, which legally speaking is the forum). You are free to use THEIR software but you are always subordinated to them and bound by their GNU (General Public License).
Furthermore, the server this forum is hosted on isn't your either. Now I may be wrong, but the storage, speed, and overall feel of the site points to a rented server (unless you've got massive storage space at home and loads of cash to buy this sort of equipment). Thus, you are renting the server and not owning it. Big difference.
Of course none of this changes the fact that you set it up and are free the adminstrate it how you like but I felt I had to say something because sometimes your words make you sound a bit egotistical and as if we should admire how hard it is to set up a punBB forum (it isn't by the way). I could go on using your strange anology comparing a house to a website and the difference between renting and owning, but seeing as it was such a bad connection to make in the first place I'll leave that one.....
I don't have a beef with you really, you just sometimes remind me of those BF2 server admins that kick you if you take their helicopter or kill them two times in a row. Being an administrator of a forum (albeit a very good one) does not make you God or the head of an international company and sometimes that's how you try to act.
Keep up the good work, just post rules, post rules, post rules. If something crops up that's not in the rules and you don't like it, update the rules and give that person a warning. People like this site and part of being a good manager is to respect and listen to your customers. How long would I last in business if I threw people out for breaking rules that I just made up on the spot?
Peace out and spread the love.....
