Do you have NR on?
Noise reduction will try to take out noise... it needs time to bake and can take up to the same amount of time as the exposure itself to process. no bueno with a low battery/long exposure.
if you have NR off the 'post' processing in cam will be much fasta and perhaps you may not have visible noise to deal with. que buena?
