Im running Windows XP media center. Did a system restore and Dled everything all over but now the game will just freeze on me but i can still talk to my clan on vent. my clan members are saying it could be my HDD my graphics card interfering with on board card. Both ATIs. Or it could be my motherboard. Was wondering if anyone could help me out. When i installed the game i was also installing other stuff so could that of corrupted some files.????

1. What is media center?
2. That happens to me too. Go smashing something at the floor, the computer or monitor for example and then play on.

Not being a 'tech head', I would have thought installing one program at a time was the best method, I suppose you could corrupt certain files, but I would also have thought the game wouldn't run in the first place if there was that much corruption.
As for 'crashing midgame', that's happened to me a couple of times (twice), last night being the latest, and that's with over 220 hours of gaming. So from my perspective, I suppose I can't complain (much) .

I won't try to teach you to 'suck eggs' (UK expression, not derogatory), but if you've done a restore, defrag, housekeeping stuff, then some of what 'some' people tell you will be speculative. Personally, I would take your pc back to a 'perfect working point', defrag, delete temp int files and all of the other stuff, virus scan... then re-install bf2 and see how you get on..... no doubt someone else much better qualified will be able to help you more hope it goes well

A media centre is something like jukebox or Windows media.
Installing other programs at the same time may have corupted the odd file in BF2 so best chance is if you install the game again and just retrive your account.
Dear God please let my karma one day reach 100, whether it be tomorrow or 1000 years in the future i want it to happen.

no. what he means by media center is Windows XP Media Center Edition.  it's an operating system based on Windows XP, but optimized for working with media.
