I, for one, quite enjoyed it. Speaks volumes to the mentality of the majority here on this site. Thanks for posting Jay.

Paraphrased as "People who don't think like me or agree with me are insane/stupid. Insane and stupid people go on to snap and kill people with guns. Guns therefor kill people. We should ban guns because EM doesn't support gay marriage."

Though I don't see why you are bringing up this piece because if anything he does argue for the 'defence of democracy' (i.e. the involvement of the US in WWI) and an altruistic approach to (world)politics. You're as isolationist as they come and imo miles apart from the author's stance.

Would have had to background check the author. The piece could just as easily have been written by someone just ranting on democracy. I don't see him arguing against U.S. involvement in WWI, rather against the reasons used to get involved.
