I'd live there for a year or two.
The dynamic between China and North Korea (and the rest of Asia) has changed dramatically since the 1950s. Back then, China felt they needed to help North Korea to "continue the revolution" and also show they were on par with the Soviets. Such is no longer the case. They see North Korea as the crazy cousin they no longer invite to family reunions. If Chonger the Younger were to try to attack the South, China wouldn't assist, but would likely intervene to stop the conflict via the UN.
And 1.1M undernourished, undertrained, underequipped military members doesn't exactly make the North much of an existential threat to the South. Their biggest threat is their massive numbers of artillery within range of Seoul (and their chem/bio inventories)...the majority of which would be destroyed in the first hours of any conflict. After that, they've got outdated aircraft that have low mission capable rates and old armor that likely has similar MC rates.

I wouldn't mind living in China for a year or two.
Yeah it would be pretty awesome.

Actually, with their Songun policy I doubt that they are undernourished.FEOS wrote:

Their training will be good enough for frontline infantry and their human waves of cannon fodder.
They are definitely under-equipped though.
Also, they will most likely run into serious supply problems, because their agriculture and industry way sub par and couldn't support a full mobilization of that many soldiers.
AFAIK, they are also heavily dependent on Chinese and Russian fuel imports.
So, in these time and age, North Korea can't possibly think about starting any military conflict.
All they could do is firing artillery over the border, similarly to what the Hamas is doing in Gaza.
With all of our advanced weapons and massive budget it is almost a tragedy we will never get to use it in another conventional war anytime soon.
Don't worry, the military-industrial complex will find a war to start to justify its existence.
China and America need to fight a proxy war somewhere sometime soon for a start.

The University of Kentucky - Lexington Police Department on Wednesday terminated the officer involved in a raid of a student's dorm room following a Campus Reform investigation of a viral YouTube video of the incident.
University of Kentucky Police Chief Joe Monroe said in a statement Wednesday afternoon that his investigation of the video revealed gross misconduct by the officer in question.
“After a thorough internal investigation, the officer in question has been terminated from his employment at the University of Kentucky, effective immediately,” said Monroe in the statement.
“The officer in question had inappropriate physical contact with a student,” he continued. “The officer, as a result, was in violation of a number of university employment policies.”
The video, which had over half a million views by Wednesday, is entitled “I hate cops,” and features a university student setting up a video camera before berating two campus police officers and refusing to allow them entry into his room.
Poor guy lost his job, healthcare, and pension because of one dickhead. I hope the student gets doxed
Kid needs an ass kicking in the worst possible way.

One got convicted of 2nd degree assault, the other was acquitted:

e: Also, I always thought that universities had special authority to investigate dorm rooms for contraband, although they can't open anything without consent or probably cause?

He didn't know his rights, he was just being a nasty belligerent piece of shit troll. They don't need a warrant to search a dorm room, you sign a housing policy that says they can search your room anytime they have probably cause.Dilbert_X wrote:

I imagine it varies state by state and university by university, but if they had the right why didn't they just say so at the start?
No need to threaten him with being thrown out of college or push him around.

He's clearly a fucking douche. The one video where I was hoping for some police brutality.
