Been wanting to play on Namalsk but it seems to crash my game every time I join a server that's running it. Been having a good time playing dayz lately, found an old moto intact but a barrier decided to not load fast enough and broke its wheels. Then after a server restart I logged in next to a helo crash and got an as50 and L85 AWS. Followed by finding a pedal bike via thermal scope.

It's harder to survive because there's less food and you start freezing very rapidly if you are anywhere elevated or on snow - I had my first character get sick within 30 minutes of playing. The potential loot is very concentrated compared to Lingor or Panthera...I suppose it's more like Chernarus in that sense.
The setting itself is a nice change in scenery and it's still probably better than any of the desert-themed maps, but I think I'd play Chernarus/Panthera/Lingor before Namalsk. But it's nice to have so many alternatives at this point.

Latest information in regards to the Standalone is interesting.

Are there any private hives worth starting on? I've been off it for a few months and I didn't realise what was going on til I found multiple crash-sites, all with PP-19s within a mile or so.
I don't want any crazy server settings, I'd just be interested in playing on different maps.
