Sorting, logging and other things Steam either can't do well or at all. I also like how it records how much time I play a game then later forgets I've played it at all.
Sorting, hours played, and logging. Yeah, slit wrist worthy things to complain about.
Easy game management, no hassle installation and updates, purchases, gifting. Now if those things were a POS, I'd complain.

What's your problem?
Not directed directly at you. Just saying those issues don't merit Steam as being suckage.
I havent had any issues yet, but TBH I just play games through steam. I have noticed it using more memory lately, so when I go to paly BF3 I shut it down.
You asked.Ilocano wrote:

And no, while they don't, each patch seeming to add to Steam's launch time in exchange for bizarre features I don't remember anyone asking for while ongoing issues and gripes are shunted aside, I think people have a right to be irritated. Otherwise, it's a fine service if you don't mind it being stuffed down people's throats.
Anyone tried the "Big Picture" thing from steam? Does it work okay?
It works OK, but I can't see it replacing the existing interface anytime soon.
I dont see much point in playing PC games on my 42" TV...... If I want to play games on that, I have a PS3 for a reason.
I just restarted Steam, now I see what you are talking about with the whole update all the games in my library to a new format thing..... SMH, what was wrong with the old format?
Steam Box.
The only games Steam needed to update content files for for me were Audiosurf, Max Payne 3 and Skyrim. I don't understand why the rest of you had to redo your whole lists
Also the Big Picture mode works good on my cousins 1080P monitor, the settings allow you to set it to any typical HDTV resolution(makes sense, that's precisely what it was made for) but not a typical computer resolution so I can't see it being very worthwhile on my 1680x1050 monitor, I tried it out and it defaulted to 720P which looked fuzzy on my screen. I do like the special browser though, it comes preconfigured with favorites most people would use like social networks and Youtube. It's a lot like the PS3 browser

Have some old:
Far Cry 3...installing 9 extra things.
I've heard FC3 is "Skyrim with guns" is this true?
"Raise the flag high! Let the degenerates know who comes to claim their lives this day!"
Is out already. Needs a ton of work though.
Not nearly as cool as this would be if it were real though
One can dream

We don't seem to have a CoH 2 thread and I would make a boring not very detailed official thread, so I'll just post the link for the Alpha stress test/Beta signup here:
