Pretty mush the only thing around here are Blue Angles/Thunderbirds airshows.

Idk there's a bunch happening everyday
The town fair once a year, but it sucks. Belchertown is fucking boring.
If the women don't find ya handsome. They should at least find ya handy.
The usual touring music festivals - Soundwave, Stereosonic, Creamfields, Parklife, Raggamuffin, Future Music Festival, Supafest, etc.
Then there's an annual Jazz Festival, Poetry Festival, Chinese New Year and bunch of other stuff I can't think of right now.

Some call the Netherlands the festival country.
Literally every single big music event comes in the form of an outdoor festival and I fucking hate it. They're always at stupid hours (most of the time it's along the lines of 12:00-23:00 because it's open-air theyre not allowed to play music later than 23:00), the sound quality is horrible (partly because it's outside) and you get bummed on the prices even worse than in clubs (40euros for a ticket and 5euros for a beverage? Sign me up!). You do nothing but strud around in the mud for 12 hours with a bunch of pretentious cunts thinking that think they have such exquisite taste in music because they're at the 'deep techno'-stage of ElectroLand TurdflingFest 2012.

Um..
Fire season?
Have had a pretty impressive display of aircraft dropping fire retardant a couple miles from town the past few days.
Also have a good number of Huey helicopters staged at the airfield a couple hundred yards behind me.
We have four seasons here; Fire Season, Hunting Season, Cold-as-fuck season, and Hot-as-fuck season.

Most festivals cost around the $170 mark (143 euro), give or take. At Soundwave a mid-strength bourbon/vodka/beer is $10 (8.5 euro) a can.

My city is small but is nestled between several large cities so there are a few festivals that are cool.
NJ festival of ballooning is in south jersey but it isn't too far and it is pretty cool.
Hoboken has an Italian festival, an Irish festival, and an art and music festival.
In Jersey City there is a large Indian population. Their Diwali festival is pretty cool. I can't find any pictures but the whole Indian section of the city get a very colorful makeover. You can buy Indian food and listen to Indian music and dance. Thousands of people dancing in the street late at night is pretty cool. According to my ex it is also a great place to pick up girls since the abortion rates spike right afterward.
