Ah I see. But I don't think a 5.8 would do structural damage other than breaking windows and knocking items off of store shelves.

Yeah! that was the main area that copped it hey? Columbo street is what I remember most from 08 so it was quite unreal. I do like what they've done with the shipping containers, it looks really good, and if theres any more it's easy enough to rebuild.Pubic wrote:

Uzique, both cathedrals are demolition jobs now. I understand the Catholic one is going to be rebuild as-is, but the Anglican one (which is in the square and gets most of the attention) they're not so sure of. Theres the usual local politics/bickering which you'd expect - some people are calling for it to be rebuild as it was, some want a modern cathedral, and some want it moved.
