You make it into kind of a joke, half serious. And make like you really don't care if she takes you up on the offer or not. Actually, your attitude must really be that you don't really care one way or the other._j5689_ wrote:

So, what does it mean if she sticks her toes between your crotch while out on a first dinner date?
It means pour her some more wine..

I think I kind of get the idea on how to do it, is this only for drunk girls who wouldn't see it so blatantly or is this allowed with sober girls too?Jaekus wrote:

And I don't know if I'll be able to not care until I've at least had some kind of success, I can't just push the need away and not care unless I'm sure something will happen somehow. It would be nice to be able to not care but if I was able to, I probably wouldn't have this problem

What a terrible hyper-feminist piece of an article lol. The 'friendzone' concept doesn't make people mad because men get rejected; it's not the 'no' from the woman. It's the fact that females often don't make it clear - intentionally or not - that they aren't interested, until the man is deep in that shit. It's the 'no' they don't say.tuckergustav wrote:

Just sayin...
The concept doesn't really apply the other way, because men are horny animals and fuck anything that is still warm. Besides men don't have problems recognizing when someone is hitting on them; and can say no if not interested.

Generalities never make good arguments.
What I got from the article was that these self professed "nice guys" end up really being quite sleazy when it comes down to it. If you make your intentions clear that you are interested in her as more than a friend and she doesn't clearly communicate that those feelings are returned, then fuck off. But, if you continue to hang around and act a victim, it is YOU that is the problem. And calling someone a tease or a slut because she doesn't return your attraction does NOT make you a nice guy.DUnlimited wrote:

(This isn't directed at anyone in particular, btw. It's a general message to the "guy" described in the article.)

Start doing.
And stop posting in this thread already until you actually have some real problems to talk about.
That's what I got from the article too tbh. Not sure how it can be construed as something else as it is pretty clear.tuckergustav wrote:

Treat a woman as a friend, she thinks you're friends. If that's the signal you're putting out there why does she need to make clear a "no" to any romantic/sexual intentions? So you've either lied, or tried to manipulate her feelings by being "nice". Not sure how this is feminist; if anything, by getting annoyed at the article it's kinda making the author's point, lol.

So I read this article on Cracked and I want to know what you all think about it. I consider myself a nice guy, but not a "selfish jerk" nice guy, although I totally identify with the pedestal bullet point.
