So im moving to Germany, Im trying to figure out all the shit I need to do. One that im a little confused by is the health insurance and how it works, ive read multiple sites and they seem to all have differing explainations. Can someone explain it to me.

Not so sure about the health insurance, as I'm on the payroll of an American branch, but the beer is absolutely excellent.

Normally, if you're employed by them and not freelance, your employer's accounting department should handle everything, and you'll end up with your net income on your bank account, with everything else already deducted and paid.
They probably are the ones that can help you best, because I believe that the federal states (Hesse in case of Frankfurt) have much more different laws than Austria, AFAIK.
I suggest you ask ze Germans on here. Sisco and Eifa come to my head.

I've only been to Germany a few times, but my uncle lived there for several years. I don't really understand what kind of advice you want. All I can tell you is that the people are very friendly, or at least in the areas I've been. The country is absolutely beautiful.

Health insurance is super easy. Your employer does it for you. You just say where you want to be insured and they'll do the paperwork. The money gets deducted automatically from your wage and is payed by the employer.
