Been listening to and playing a lot of guitar at the moment. Met a luthier the other day as I was wandering around town, he said he'd be keen to make me a baritone guitar. Looked at his work and he makes some really really nice instruments. The only question remaining is whether I think I'm worthy of spending $5k or whatever on a beautiful custom baritone guitar for myself.

actually i take back the 'great'. listening to previews of latest LP seems boring. nowhere near as good as the 12"s. sounds like he's done an album with purposeful limitations and it comes across as being totally boring rather than inspired. voices from the lake is a good example of an album with bare-ingredients that is utterly brilliant.
